I am a beginner woodworker learning by building. My first sauna was a huge success and I decided to make another one to see how I could improve.

This video shows my process of cutting, planing and routing the staves for my second sauna build. I chose 2x4's instead of the 2x6's used in the first build to see if they looked better or had better function. I determined that there wasn't much of a difference and it would be up to personal preference. I also rounded the ends this time for aesthetics.
-Routing with gloves is not recommended.
-The cove bit needed to be slightly lower to avoid weak edges and splitting.
-The dado cuts would be better done with a table saw to avoid splitting.
-For the rounded edges, it was too difficult to get a consistent cut with the -cove end so I would do this cut first next time.
